PROCEDURE:
Combine
the components of Phase A and heat to 85°C with mixing. Combine the deionized
water, propylene glycol and half of the ammonium hydroxide solution and
mix. Sift in the Acrylates/Octylacrylamide
Copolymer, and then heat the phase to 85°C.
At 85°C add the remaining sodium hydroxide solution. When Phases A and B are uniform, add A to
B. Then add Phase C. When the batch cools to 50°C add Phase D and
continue cooling to room temperature.
